Andre Lingham got the idea for the organization after five years as the Senior Citizen Liaison for the Howard County Police Department in Howard County, Maryland.

Founder’s Story

Andre began his career in Law Enforcement in the US Army in 1982. In 1986 he received an honorable discharge from the Army and shortly thereafter began his career with the Howard County Sheriff’s Office. In January 1996, Andre transferred from the Howard County Sheriff’s Office to the Howard County Police Department. While with the Howard County Police Department, Andre worked as a patrol officer, Warrant Fugitive Detective, and a School Resource Officer. In October 2013, found his true passion and calling when he was selected as the Senior Citizen Liaison.

While serving as the Senior Citizen Liaison, Andre coordinated and conducted elder abuse awareness and education training to the general public, senior citizen population, government agencies, police departments, and private institutions. On November 1, 2019, Andre decided to retire from the Howard County Police Department and focus full-time on elder abuse awareness and education.
